The LIFEguard Program meets Federal and NC State guidelines for Sexual Health & Abstinence Until Marriage education in the public schools.  This includes the requirements set forth by NC General Assembly House Bill 88 -- the Healthy Youth Act of 2009 which takes effect for the 2010-2011 school year.

The LIFEguard Program SAR has been an approved resource for the 9th Grade Healthful Living Curriculum in the Carteret County Schools since 2002.

The LIFEguard Program has been an approved resource for the 7th Grade Healthful Living Curriculum in the Carteret County Schools since 2004.
